Being an artist I believe a life on canvas is a life that lives forever, when you know a person that has given so much to receive so little in return, that person deserves to live forever. This woman is a person whom gave her life to serve the sick in the military and asked nothing in return. I think that a spirit lives in all that has known a person and the spirit remains in them, a portrait painting holds the spirit of the person with in it.
