“City Rain” by Mark Moore
18 x 24 x 2 on canvas, acrylic brushed
In this piece I wanted to give the effect of looking out a window into the New York streets on a rainy night
After completing the piece it was time to get framed, adding a custom frame to add the effect of a window (framing done by The Frame Gallery in Athens Alabama)
closeup of the end of the street, what details can you find here
Closeup of the top left side of painting, what do you see in the windows
Right center of painting, can you make out the type of vehicle seen here, what else do you see in this shot
Bottom left side, what do you see

/ August 12, 2013I am fascinated by this painting. I love cityscapes. The artist’s use of color and texture and his/her perspective captures me. What a great way to make a person view a dark cold and pretty scary city in a beautiful way. I still am opposed to walking NY at night.

/ August 12, 2013Thank You so very much Carly , I wanted to show the beauty of the city and the colors that hide in the night lights. Rainy days and nights have always seemed to bring so many down but if we Really Look around when it rains you will see a show of beauty 🙂
