Mothers Bond

Mothers Bond

acrylic on gallery wrap canvas 11 x 14 x 1

A representation of the bond between a mother and her child,  a  love that can’t be broken or replaced.  Passed down from mother to child since the beginning of time, a mother will love and nurture her child through even the worst of situations, even in death. Growing up in a poor family,  I watched my mother give up food to feed her children. She gave up so much to make sure we had what we needed to survive, and I know there are many more mothers like she was.  The only thank you or recognition she got was knowing that her children grew up healthy that probably wouldn’t have if she didn’t make the sacrifices she made. This is a thank you to  her and the other mothers that give so much with nothing in return, that the children you have raised are thankful and always will be.

tip – An original painting brings years of  joy and beauty, and can be passed down to family members as a token of remembrance.

Nice work! I tend to think about how most mothers are there for there children no matter what they do when I look at this painting, that’s real love. Thanks for the nice thought.

  2. Mark, I am very taken by the simple beauty of your concept and of course the work. Yes, there is nothing on this earth that can hold beauty than the bond between a mother and her children. I was fortunate to have a very lovely, wonderful mother with whom I had a deep bond. I am also blessed by two children (grown) with whom I enjoy a deep love. Life has had a monumental mountain of trials for all of us, but our love has remained and stood the test of time. Thank you for your tribute to the mothers of the world! Bravo!

  3. Thank You Cilipower , I am happy you have had that experience, this piece is also featured on Taxi’s in Amsterdam ,so I feel like I had a small part in saying thank you for being a Mother
